Love

Marcus and I have been together since July 3rd,2004. We met online and he also lived in Boronia at the time so we started to email each other because of the closeness in location. We later met at Zagames in Boronia for a few drinks late at night, it was fun we stayed there from about 11.00pm till about 3.00am when it was time for me to go to bed.

I then did not see Marcus for a few months after that as I was very busy with my own life and TAFE at the time, but we occasionally conversed via email. A few months latter we caught up again in the same place for a few more drinks, we got on quite well and had lots to talk about.

We then started seeing each other on a potential basis, I call the stage PBF (Potential Boyfriend). Although I did like him, I had some negative experiences with the previous love interests and wanted to take it slow. After about 3 months of seeing him as a PBF it was soon time to make it official. I advised Marcus that it would have to be special, romantic, different and original, it wasn't possible just to ask and have me say yes.

Soon after he had a surprise planned, it was a nice restaurant up in Olinda called The Cuckoo where we wined and dined for a few hours. I was not aware at that stage what the surprise was, although I had my suspicions it was getting late and still nothing happened. A few moments latter the waitress brought me an apple juice, I had a sip and Marcus advised me that was the surprise, a special rare apple juice. I suddenly felt disappointed and concerned, although it was nice apple juice but that is not what I wanted. 

A few moments latter I heard a rattle noise under the table, it sounded just like plastic bags. As I went to look under the table, he brought out a bag with a box inside. I opened the box and it was a beautiful watch, it was the first non plastic watch I had owned. Following that I was given a get well card, since I had the flu at the time. Inside the card was a message asking me to be his boyfriend. I was delighted and said yes of course. Latter on that night we went to The Peel to dance a bit before retiring for the night.
 

Soon after we went on a holiday to Queensland, Surfers Paradise. It was a very fun holiday, we stayed in a very nice hotel and went out every day to experience new and exciting things. We went to WB Movie World and I went on the Lethal Weapon, I had been there before but I was to short the first time I went, not that I have grown that much!

We continued our relationship for a few months in Boronia, Marcus helped me to find a job in retail. We ended up working in the same department store, it was quite an experience. At the same time I ended up getting two jobs in retail, I ended up quitting one because it was to difficult working two casual jobs. A few months after working in retail I was offered a permanent part time position with 70 hours a fought night which was very fun, but unfortunately did not pay enough.

I needed more money and started looking for another job. I soon found a new job in Melbourne which was great, a job that I love. Marcus got his new job in Melbourne too, leaving retail and entering into a new industry. We then found an apartment in the CBD location which was just great! It now takes us 10 minutes max to walk to work, as apposed to 70 minutes of travel one way.

We are still together and it is coming up to our two year anniversary, but I will keep you informed on all the goss. All you need to know is everything is good and our love is still strong.
